Blogs promote the exchange of ideas. I've used this blog for several semesters to get students talking about media industry topics. Articles you read, post and comment about should deal with media programming topics, and this is a wide-open arena—programming developments, traditional and new distribution channels, technology developments, job and career matters, regulation (FCC?), program performance--including the new fall television season. I hope you’re beginning to get the picture.

Football Still a Ratings Winner
Sunday Ratings were dominated by the "Bro Bowl" where Eli Manning's New York Giants got annihilated by his big brother Peyton's Indianapolis Colts. The ratings war on Sunday night was also one sided. The game peaked at a 9.0 rating while it's only competition ABC's "The Gates" pulled a .9 in the battle for the 18-49 demographic. I have not seen the totals for last night's game compared to all of the show's which debuted against Monday Night Football on ESPN but i believe seeing that game was better and not so lopsided it probably pulled in good numbers as well. Does this make you mad that football games draw better than most network television shows?
