Blogs promote the exchange of ideas. I've used this blog for several semesters to get students talking about media industry topics. Articles you read, post and comment about should deal with media programming topics, and this is a wide-open arena—programming developments, traditional and new distribution channels, technology developments, job and career matters, regulation (FCC?), program performance--including the new fall television season. I hope you’re beginning to get the picture.

Tosh.0 bashing the Competition
Tosh.0 is one show that is still on the rise. It is a show that has a simplistic format. In this day of the average person being able to put whatever they want on the internet, the basis for this show is superb. Comedy Central first debuted this show in June of 2009 and has gained over 2.4 million viewers. The format of showing videos that can be found and has gained slight popularity on youtube is a wonderful idea. With Daniel Tosh as the host bashing each video individually, it is hard to resist. The show has a few different segments to mix things up a bit such as "Web Breakdown", where he talks about everything that is going on in the video, and "Web Redemption" where he gets the person that messed up in the video to come on and re-do what they did. He has a joke for everything and everyone. And has sympathy for nothing and no one. He went from small time comedian that few people knew about to a huge talk show host that runs over the competition such as "The Soup". In my opinion this show is a good idea gone great.
