Disney To Get More Cash from TV Stations

Walt Disney Company is negotiating deals to get more money "retransmission fees" which are fees for over the air programming, from cable TV station affiliates such as Time Warner Cable. Time Warner would pay Disney free-to-air ABC broadcast signals on their cable systems. Time Warner is estimated to pay $1.28 billion to Disney. Many other networks and companies are in disagreements because of the change and the costs, but how it will affect the consumer is a entirely different question....

I think that this could be a good idea but I think that it should maybe be on maybe a trial run basis. Pretty much anything disney does turns out pretty good though so I don't think there will be a problem. I think that since a big company like Time Warner is already on the boat for this deal, it won't take the other big name company's to follow in suit, because I'm sure they don't want to be left behind.
